It Takes longer than you think!!
One thing I believe is that most people, including agents, don’t realize how long it takes and what really goes into getting houses up to standard. We face various challenges, such as being misled on condition, squeezed on price, houses not fully vacated, burning the candle at both ends, and the list goes on.
Attention to detail and thoroughness can’t be done at lightning speeds. Although we try to work at a good pace, we are only human, and we simply can’t compromise on the issues of price, time, and safety. We have to take the time and charge what we have to guarantee we can achieve the best possible result the first time around.
The ultimate goal for us is to do such a job that we don’t have to return. While there are times we have to revisit for minor items that are easily rectified, generally, we aim to get it right the first time.
What we quote at a minimum is based on historical quotes from previous cleans. I would suggest adding a minimum of 5-10% to cover a little extra.
For us, it isn’t just about the money but about staying in business and investing in industry best practices. It’s more about producing good results for clients, agents, and landlords. It takes time, and we represent three parties, ultimately answering to the landlord as to why we didn’t get it right.
We are in business for the long haul and will not undercut to get the work but charge what we need to ensure we have satisfied our obligations on your bond clean, leaving no stone unturned.
Lastly, we actually care—care to do the right thing, care to constantly improve, care for your house and bond clean, and care that it’s done properly.
