Pricing- What Governs It

Pricing- What Governs It

In this blog, I’m going to address pricing and some points as a guide we use to determine a price.

Pricing: What Governs It-

  1. House Size: As a starting point, we go off the house size (2 or 4 bedrooms). Secondly, if we don’t have a visual, we ask questions around the condition, as this can change the quote significantly.
  2. Condition of Premises: Most of the cost and time aren’t all based on size alone; it plays a big factor, but the condition of the premises overall is crucial. The poorer the condition, the longer it takes, leading to a higher price. To provide some numbers, in a standard 3-bedroom home, there are 950+ items to be checked off and passed by us. So, another reason we quote the price we do is that we are slightly underpricing. Even in the quote we set out, it still doesn’t always cover everything. We’ve done a 2-bedroom for the price of a 4-bedroom base rate, and we have done a 4-bedroom for half of what we quoted due to its immaculate condition. It is vitally important that if you want to stick to the quoted price or even come under, the house has to be in pretty immaculate condition.
  3. Access in and Around the Home: This isn’t something that always comes into play regarding the price, but access in and around the home matters. Some houses are quite easy and have good access to outside windows, etc., while others are not so easy, which can affect the final invoice. Our prices are also a guide and an estimate, as determining an exact price is not always possible with these types of cleans. There is a strong demand for us to get the premises back to a good standard as much as possible, so our prices are also based on the standard required by real estates and landlords.

Additionally, we run commercial equipment and use commercial-grade products, which is also factored into what we charge.

On a full bond clean, if the premises are found to be in worse condition than stated regardless of the quote, anywhere between a 25%-120% markup of the quoted price could be added to your final invoice based on the condition of the house.

Planning ahead when signing your lease ensures you have your bond clean covered. Consider using your bond; this will help ensure we can get the clean done properly.

Book in advance as much as possible, and don’t book too close to carpet cleaning unless we are doing it, as this can cause conflict. We generally do our best to fit you in to get it done before carpets, so book your bond cleaner first before carpet cleaners, with a minimum gap of 24 hours between each service.

To finish, cleaning companies are taking on the risk with equipment and supplies, so it’s important to take that into consideration when receiving a quote.

Reach out if you have any further questions about Bond Cleaning. I’m more than happy to help 🙂
